This version breathes new life into Abdel Quddous’s classic tale, reimagined by writer Wael Hamdy. When Hashem seeks advice from psychiatrist Aliaa, an additional character from previous versions, she suggests he journal about his past relationships. Things get even more tangled when he runs into an old flame.
