Snowflake accelerates partner ecosystem growth, supporting KSA’s national AI ambitions

Snowflake, the AI Data Cloud company, is seeing strong growth in its partner ecosystem across Saudi Arabia, driven by the region’s accelerating adoption of cloud and AI technologies. This momentum underscores Snowflake’s partner-first strategy, which places trusted partners at the center of its regional expansion to broaden expertise, deepen customer confidence, deliver measurable business outcomes, and ultimately enable joint customers to maximise the value from their data and AI.

Saudi Arabia’s $100 billion AI initiative underpins a national push to lead in global tech, supported by strong digital infrastructure and an innovation-first mindset, with AI projected to add US$135.2 billion to the KSA economy by 2030. Snowflake and its partners are enabling this journey, combining technology, expertise, and trusted relationships to help customers modernize and innovate.

Since opening its regional headquarters in Riyadh last year, Snowflake has collaborated with major cloud providers and launched general availability on Google Cloud in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to better meet the Kingdom’s data residency and sovereignty requirements so that data can reside within the country’s borders. The company now collaborates with 44 registered partners in the Kingdom, supported by more than 125 SnowPro certifications.

To support this growth, Snowflake appointed Mohamed Menakbi as Head of Partners & Alliances for Saudi Arabia. With nearly two decades of experience in building and scaling channel ecosystems at companies such as Strategy (MicroStrategy) and Fujitsu, Menakbi will focus on driving and deepening partner relationships and ensuring local delivery capacity to meet the rising demand for Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud.

“In highly competitive AI and data innovation markets like KSA, partners are at the heart of our growth strategy,” said Mohamed Menakbi, Head of Partners & Alliances, Snowflake KSA. “As the Kingdom accelerates its digital transformation under Vision 2030, Snowflake’s trusted local partner ecosystem brings the scale, expertise, and relationships needed to deliver value. In a region where 69% of organizations plan to increase AI investment in the coming year, we see a significant opportunity to grow alongside our partners and support customers in building a data-driven economy.”

The Kingdom’s strong investment in cloud and AI, combined with a national focus on digital transformation, makes robust partnerships essential. Customers increasingly demand speed to market and industry-specific solutions, and Snowflake’s cloud-agnostic, AI-agnostic, and open platform enables partners to deliver tailored solutions, integrate with existing systems, and provide reliable after-sales support. Partner programs address talent and enablement gaps by equipping local teams to execute complex AI and data projects efficiently. This combination of technology, training, and localized support allows partners to offer pre-built industry solutions, accelerate delivery, and help customers maximize the value of their Snowflake-powered initiatives.

Across industries, partner-led engagements are driving transformation for customers. F&B enterprises such as Almarai are using Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud to securely manage and analyze data within Saudi borders, while foodtech SaaS innovators like Foodics are leveraging real-time unified data and AI-driven insights to enhance customer experiences.

Recently, Snowflake has unveiled a number of new initiatives to its Snowflake Partner Network (SPN) to deepen collaboration with partners and better support customers with dedicated expertise and a platform to empower them to achieve their full potential through data and AI. These include a new learning and certification program; a clearer partner tiering system; the launch of several expanded partner-focused events; and an updated resell program to enable qualified partners to resell Snowflake as part of the solutions they deliver, with support covering the entire customer lifecycle.

Snowflake’s global ecosystem now includes 12,000+ partners worldwide, with more than 3,000 across EMEA. As Saudi Arabia continues investing heavily in AI and data innovation, Snowflake and its partners are playing a central role in accelerating the region’s transformation.
